Your information, treated with care.
How this new membership website is designed to use your information.
What this website stores
Your sign-in account reference and email address, application name, postcode, connection to the parish, consent date, application decision, member role and payment confirmation. Card details are handled by the payment provider and are not stored in this website’s database.
The members area also stores forum posts and replies, votes and event RSVPs. Committee tools record administrative actions and member-email delivery status.
Who can see it
Committee members and admins can review applications and membership records. Forum messages and the names of their authors are visible to active members. Individual voting choices are stored to enforce one vote per member; the interface displays aggregate results, not other members’ choices. This is not a certified secret ballot system.
How the information is used
To assess and manage membership, enable participation, confirm payment, administer events and communicate essential membership information. Bulk emails are delivered separately so recipients do not see each other’s addresses.
Services and cookies
This website uses Sites hosting and its database, and email-and-password accounts. Passwords are stored as salted hashes; session cookies are used to keep you signed in. If enabled, PayPal processes membership payments and the connected email provider delivers email. The site does not add advertising or analytics trackers. Authentication may use cookies required for sign-in.
Questions and requests
Email contact@buryparishclt.org to ask about access, corrections, deletion or membership records. Before launch, the committee must approve the legal basis, retention periods, processor arrangements and full privacy notice.
